PC-to-phone service is an easy way to save money on long distance charges. It allows you to call just about any phone number in the world from your PC. Charges for long distance vary, depending on where your calling, but typical long distance charges within the US range from 2-3 cents per minute.

Companies that offer this type of service usually require a software phone client to place the call. A PC headphone device is recommended but any speaker/microphone combination will allow you to use this type of service.
